CFI, CFII, MEI, CONV, SES I started my flying career in 1963 right after my oldest son was born. I earned my Private Pilot ticket in June of that year. When the government announced that it would pay 90% for all ratings above a private in 1973 using the GI bill and I had one year left on my GI bill so I got my Commerical; Multi Enging; Instrument, in the Multi; CFI; CFII; and Helicopter, private pilot only; all in 1973, and started teaching in January, 1974. I also got a commerical single engine sea plane rating in 1980. I really enjoy trying to transfer what little knowledge I have to other people.
